The name of the saint is written above or below this area.  Most  relic particles are  pinhead in size and covered with a resin or glue of some sort.  Because the particle is so small, and that particle is covered with glue or resin, it is nearly impossible to see with the naked eye  what the relic is without looking under a magnifying glass. Furthermore, you are looking at digital pictures that are not the best quality.   Most particles look dark, some are light, but  most everyone knows this information who are familiar with relics. Only the reliquary is for sale, the relic itself is a gift included.
