The piece is 12 1/2 inches wide and 15 1/2 inches tall. The metal frame is a solid part of this wall hanging.  The image is of flowers and other plants; it is an fine example of Repousse' art.During the 1950s Albert Gilles was an artist who worked mostly in copper. He founded the Copper Shop, Inc. in Canada which is now also a museum.To our knowledge this item has not been cleaned. If it was cleaned previously, given the darkness of much of the copper, it was quite some time ago.The hanging is signed "A. Gilles" at the bottom-right, through it is difficult to show in a photo because as mentioned previously, the piece has not been cleaned.This is a very decorative, collectible wall hanging that would make an excellent gift to a friend, a loved one, or yourself.
