She would love this store and be so proud of me, so I dedicate it to her, my precious Mother and Angel, Rosa.        For auction is an awesome sage smudge stick and extinguishing pot, which includes sand from the banks of the Nolichucky river in Tennessee, my home town and "stomping grounds"   :)   .   This sage stick is very generous in size, measuring up to but not limited to 9" in length and 1-1/2" thick in the middle area. The pot measures 3-1/2"  X  4" and is made of quality ceramic and hand painted.  Smudging  goes back thousands of years and it's meaning it quite pure and simple. "Smudging" is the common name given to the "Sacred Bowl Blessings, a powerful cleansing technique from the Native American tradition. It is a spiritual way to cleanse a person, place or an object of negative energy or influences. The theory behind smudging is that the smoke attaches itself to negative energy and as it clears it takes the negative energy with it, releasing it into another space to be regenerated. Sage drives out negative thoughts, energies, spirits and all bad influences. Native Americans see smudging as a way of shifting between various levels of reality, connecting us here in the material, physical world to the subtle realm of Spirits.  It is a beautiful thing to Smudge, with the heart and soul,  and then to feel it's glorious effects in your heart and soul.
