INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION IN CLEVELAND.(I'VE NEVER HEARD WHAT THE OTHER 6 SPEAKERS HAD TO OFFER IN THEIR TALKS AT THIS CONVENTION..BUT IT MUST HAVE HELPED BE CONVINCING AS THEY WERE ACCEPTED BY VOTE AFTERWARDS) IT WAS AT THIS CONVENTION AND AFTER THESE TALKS THAT THE ATTENDING FELLOWSHIP WAS ENCOURAGED TO VOTE WHITHER TO ACCEPT THE "TWELVE TRADITIONS" OR VOTE NOT TO ACCEPT THEM(THANK "GOD" THEY ACCEPTED THEM). BILL HAD SINCE 1946 BEGAN TO WRITE ABOUT THE 12 TRADITIONS AND THE FELLOWSHIP'S NEED TO ADOPT/ACCEPT THEM. THEY WERE FIRST WRITTEN/PRESENTED IN THE APRIL 1946 A.A. GRAPEVINE BUT WERE INITIALLY TITLED "TWELVE POINTS TO ASSURE OUR FUTURE" A PAMPHLET OF THIS WAS REPRINTED AND DISTRIBUTED ALONG WITH SEVERAL OF HIS SUBSEQUENT ARTICLES PRINTED IN THE GRAPEVINE AND IN 1947 THEY WERE ALL COMBINED AND HELP COMPRISE THE HARD-TO-FIND (1947) "TRADITIONS PAMPHLET"(THIS WAS WHAT WAS USED PRIOR THE c1953 "TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS"(12x12) BOOK.   (THIS WAS ALSO WHERE DR. BOB'S GAVE HIS LAST MAJOR TALK BEFORE HIS DEATH ALSO THIS IS CONVENTION THAT THE "TWELVE TRADITIONS" WERE PRESENTED BY BILL AND 6 OTHER SPEAKERS AND WERE ACCEPTED). I'VE INCLUDED A PHOTO FROM THE JUNE 1951 GRAPEVINE THAT SHOWS A COUPLE OF THESE "ROCKHILL RECORDINGS" HANGING(DISPLAYED) ON THE WALL AT G.S.O. (F.Y.I....THE ONLY MEDIA FOR RECORDING TALKS IN 1950 WAS EITHER ON THESE OLD RECORDS OR WIRE RECORDINGS)***I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WOULD REALLY LOOK NICE TO HAVE THEM FRAMED AND DISPLAYED SUCH AS THE RECORDING ARTISTS/STUDIOS DO THE "PLATINUM"/"GOLD" RECORDINGS OF GREAT ARTISTS...WOULD CERTAINLY LOOK NICE IN EITHER A COLLECTOR'S ARCHIVE ROOM OR A.A. CLUB HOUSE). THE RECORDINGS APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY LIGHT VISIBLE EVIDENCE OF ANY SCRATCHS/MARRING/ETC. WORLD SERVICES at  the request of AAWS has taken auctions toward the infringement of the mis-use of the  Alcoholics Anonymous "words" used in the "Title" portion of items up for bid on e-bay by notifying e-bay of the violation of the mis-use.  thus e-bay has had to  take action against violators "reported" by having items/auction cancelled. This has been done along with a notification of "permanent suspension" by e-bay if further incidents/violations occur. Thus many have had to change their listings so they would "not" infringe on copyright/trademark/etc laws. They have done this by  "not" using the words Alcoholics Anonymous in the "title" portion of items  which "are not" actually printed/published/distributed/etc by Alcoholics Anonymous ***I CONCUR that many items currently and previously on e-bay should not have the name Alcoholics Anonymous associated with them  as it does give appearance that Alcoholics Anonymous is affiliated with that item or endorsed by Alcoholics Anonymous (which they are not or have been). Example is that most members are aware that Alcoholics Anonymous "is not"  nor is it "associated" with the "washingtonian temperance movement" or "The oxford group"  (although early aa  does have some historical ties to these outfits).
