Botanical Name: Michelia champaca Plant Part: Flower Extraction Method: Food Grade Solvent Origin: India Description: Quite simply put, Michelia champaca is the most exclusive and exotic flowering tree known to man. For that very reason Champaka Absolute is considered very precious. Color: A deep rich Red Common Uses: Champaka is credited with being an effective oil as an antiviral, antispasmodic, stimulant, febrifuge, antiseptic, and as an astringent. General Description & Origin: The Michelia champaca , Common Name is "Champaka". The flower is considered as very precious among the Indian flowers. The smell of champaca flower is unique and attracting. Sometimes, it is called Golden Champaca. The Absolute required thousand of fresh flowers. Most of the local producers ae making Attar ( Taking Sandalwood Oil as base ) of Champaca. In western world people were not very familier with Champaca and Its Aromatehrapy properties but by and by time spent, the people are now aware with the property and uses of Champaca Absolute and Essential Oil of Champaca. Extraction: The Champaca Absolute Oil is produced using the below steps. First the journey starts from concrete making which is made by using solvent extraction, after which the absolute result by saperation of alcohol from the concerte. The Waxes and Other impurities are extracted by using the freezing point operation. Chemical composition: The Major components are as follows: Linalool (76%), 2- phenethyl alcohol (6.38%) etc. Precautions : Champaka oil is non-toxic, non-irritant and generally non-sensitizing, although some people do have an allergic reaction to the oil. Due to its emmenagogue properties it should not be used in pregnancy.
