Description: Jesus Christ shown half-length blessing and holding a globe and cross, painted in realistic manner and encased in a hallmarked silver oklad with a separate halo piece, finely engraved on the surface. The board has rounded corners and velvet backing. Measurements: 170 mm x 215 mm (6 1/2 in x 8 1/2 in ) Marks: The silver is hallmarked on the halo, lower part and the bottom rim with 84 zolotnik (875/1000) purity mark, city of Moscow mark, assayers mark of A. Svechin, dated 1864 and an unreadable maker's mark. Condition: Superb original condition, minor patina and cosmetic scratches on the silver oklad .
