Description
Hello all!! 2008 is going to be an incredible year for auctions!! It has been a fantastic summer of cast iron collecting this year! If you are not on my email list yet, I suggest you get on it, you don’t want to miss out!! (Details below) THERE ARE 21 MORE ITEMS UP FOR SALE IN THIS AUCTION.  I have banks ranging in age from 1880’s to the 1950's. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these auctions so I’m picking up “extras” when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out there on Ebay. I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. If you would like, send me your email & I will add you to the list & notify you when I have an auction. I ONLY us this info to send you info on my Ebay auctions, absolutely nothing else.     You are bidding on a cast iron Kenton small Crosley Radio Bank. Produced by Kenton Brand from 1931 until 1936. F.M. Perkins founded Kenton Hardware Co. in 1890 in Kenton, Ohio. Toy production began in 1894 with a line of horse-drawn fire equipment, banks, and toy stoves. Renamed Kenton Hardware in 1900. Became part of mammoth National Novelty Corp. merger in 1903, it continued its toy line under the name Wing Mfg. Co. Involved in several unsuccessful takeovers, and it eventually emerged as a separate unit, the Kenton Hardware Co., and again produced toys successfully from 1920-1935. Kenton ceased production in 1952 and assets were sold in 1953. The Littlestown Hardware & Foundry acquired many Kenton toy designs and marketed them under the brand "Utexiqual". Littlestown folded in 1982. A very nice and scarce bank There are no cracks, chips, breaks of any kind other than any stated. The bank has 90% of its paint and has a nice patina. Looks like an old repaint.  The seams are tight, the pieces align well, has the original large Kenton coin trap.  4 1/4” tall x 4 ”. In Moore’s penny book #820 @ $300-$500 in 2008!        I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it’s fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970’s, big money when the reference guides I have were printed.   Please ask any and all questions before auction ends. No refunds for buyer’s remorse. Items are photographed and described accurately. YOU MUST CONTACT ME WITH IN THREE DAY'S OF AUCTION END OR I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION & RE-LIST. I WILL LEAVE NEGATIVE FEED BACK. DON'T BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THE AUCTION. I HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW NON-PAYING BIDDERS, PLEASE DON'T BE ONE!!! Payment due in 10 days. International rates are extended. Shipped via USPS priority without insurance unless requested. Seller assumes no responsibility for a lost or damaged package. FYI: I always go to the USPS to mail the items so I always have a receipt/ proof that the items were mailed (don’t purchase insurance if you simply want proof of mailing, I will have it)  Bidder pays shipping. By placing a bid you agree to these terms. I have an email list that I send to people interested in my monthly auctions. If you would like to be on it send me your address. I only use this for Ebay auctions. PERIOD! Mechanical Bank Still Bank Registering Bank Money Box   Will combine, prefer it actually.
