Description
Up for sale is a 1936 Zenith 9-S-55 console radio. Radio has regular AM as well as 2 Shortwave bands and tunes up to 23 MC. With original finish and grill cloth. Grill cloth is in excellent shape with no issues. The cabinet has an original finish but is missing a few small pieces of veneer. The cabinet is missing a 1/4" piece of veneer on the left front as well as a 1/2" piece on each side at the top (see pictures). Knobs are all in perfect shape including the set screws. Dial glass has no scratches or chips. Chassis has had electrical work done to it in the past and is working at this time. But will need the usual electrical work. All controls work as they should including the band selector. The 12" field coil speaker has been re-coned. Local pick up in CT is encouraged. But will ship by UPS insured for the purchase price for the price quoted in the auction. Any questions please send me an e-mail. I check my e-mail at least twice per day so you should receive a quick response to your questions. Thanks As with any radio of this age electrical work needs to be done. (recap. etc.) No electrical guarantee is implied or expressed. On Dec-01-08 at 05:29:23 PST, seller added the following information:For some reason the shipping calculator is not working.
