It was made in 1940s. Both sides of the case open up and fold down. One side has the Dial and the speaker. The other side has the antenna attached to it and access to the inside of the radio itself. The speaker grill is in perfect condition and  is stitched with a sailboat, some seagulls and some clouds. The face looks like it has a copper dial and holds the patent number.The face of the dial is in clear crisp condition . The  Zenith decal on the inside cover. This radio is a 6G601 : six tubes including rectifier and 2 double purpose tubes yieding 8 tube operation.The overall condition i would say is awesome, the only flaw  that i can find is the leather handle has some wear. The Wavemagnet has no creases or stains. This radio was used very little. There is a folded avertising booklet inside that has a list of all the radios made by Zenith in 1942 including this one that is for sale.
