Wholesale prices available                                            A good Quality Product lekirk357@sbcglobal.net Please look at my other Auctions. Thank you for stopping in and Happy Hunting!  I worked with a metallurgist at a foil company to get the right material. The rest is just tool and die work. The diaphragm is pressed in two steps (two punches and two dies) .. Installing the Spider For the purest...If you take plain modeling clay and roll into a log about the diameter of a pencil. Then warm it up, it will get real soft (depending on how much you warm it up). Then oil the inside of the diaphragm you'll put the clay in so the clay won't stick to it (plenty of oil, as it can be washed off later). and gently place the clay into the 1" diameter ring grove (back side of the diaphragm). Then put it in the refrigerator (the clay will get firm. Then you can push the spider through the diaphragm without damaging it. A hair dryer helps in removing the clay. Note.....If the legs of the spider are not bent firmly back in place, it will rattle when used. For the --get the job done well but not like the factory .. Snip off the 12 feet that go through the diaphragm. Clean spider and diaphragm of any oil. Put a dab of 5 minute epoxy on the end of each foot and set it in place (a tooth-pick works well). If you need to change the spider, later the epoxy can be removed from the spider with a little heat. (soldering iron) These Orthrophonic Diaphragms have been tested by some of the leaders in the industry and have proven to play very well. If you have any questions, suggestions, or troubles at all, please contact me. Input on the Diaphragms-- I received this e-mail from a nice helpful fellow Letter Subject- Orthophonic adjustment findings. Note from a buyer. Lee, I found that after playing the reproducer for a few days, it was beneficial to remove the lock ring and the back plate to relieve any clamping pressure on the diaphragm. This way, it is allowed to settle into it's neutral position, after the needle-bar bearings have settled from use. Sound is MUCH better after the re-adjustment! You don't realize how much I am enjoying the fresh reproducer! :-) Cheers W Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
