As with all items we list other than vintage glass, we don nothing to wash, clean nor polish things so you get them in the condition which we bought, or as is the case now, in the condition they were in after their last washing and then packing them away for over 20 years. You can have the plates professionally buffed free of knife marks or even do it you self with a Dremel  or even just p[polish them up with metal polish which will give them a nearly chrome like shine. We've only ever washed them by hand and packed them away after moving back east for we'd lived in the Boulder, CO area for 4-5 years and did a lot of Mexican style meals on these plates; eating the meals just out of the oven where we baked the dinners right on the plates. Each plate has a stamped text line on the bottom stating they were made by Armetale and are rather hefty at nearly 1-1/2 pounds each. So if you're looking for this particular pattern of Armetale or simply want a plate that's much harder than plain old pewter; one which will last longer than you will, than this set of plates is just for you.
