Description
Up for auction is this very nice Oak Victor III Phonograph with Horn. It plays 78 records. The plaque on the front of the machine reads: Made by Victor Talking Machine Co. Style V-III No. 42697-B. It was made sometime in the early 1900's. The base measures 14" square and the height is 7-1/2". It has a Double Spring. It has the original Brass and Black Horn. The Horn has several small dents. Also original is the Exhibition Reproducer, the Turn Table, The Felt and the Crank on the side. We were told when we purchased this item that the Back Bracket, Tone Arm and Elbow were replaced with reproductions sometime in the past. We purchased this item in 1999 from an Antique Shop in Ohio which specializes in Victrolas, Talking Machines, Horns etc. It has been cleaned and overhauled by a professional. It is in great condition and has a beautiful sound. We purchased it for our own use and therefore it has been played very little except for visitors. We enjoy it a lot but we are downsizing and that is the reason for selling. As we said it is in almost perfect condition and due to the possibility of damage in shipping the item too many times, the sale will be FINAL with NO RETURN. We will pay the shipping anywhere in the Continental United States. That does not include Alaska or Hawaii. However, BUYER must pay the Insurance for the item. We will not ship this item International. This will make a great addition to your collection. Thanks for looking.
