Description
Here is a figural bronze by Yiannis Koutsis, who is a known Greek artist and filmaker. He is famous for paintings on collectible plates of biblical, religious and mythical themes. These sculptures are rare and difficult to find. I do not know the exact name of this particular statue. It is one of three that I have listed. I believe it is Moses and the Commandments, but not certain.The patina is beautifully aged and it is in fine condition. Not sure if it solid bronze, but it was listed as such where I purchased it. it has substantial weight. Check the photos below for details. The signature is on the back of the base on an uplifted ribbon-like carving. The piece is also numbered "1284" on the back of the base. He stands almost 10 1/2" to the top of his finger uplifted hand. Please scroll to the bottom to see detailed photographs.
