It is highly detailed on his uniform, boots, hat etc.  His facial characteristics are wonderful and the figurine overall reflects the fine quality of Chilmark pewter.  He even has officer's bars on his coat.  The horse is detailed nicely also.  He is shown in a gallop and it really gives you the impression that he is moving.  The colored highlights on the figurine add so much to the figurine.  It is mounted on a wood base that measures 4-3/4" long.  It stands approximately 6" high.  The number of the figurine, fine pewter U.S.A. designations and Chilmark gold medallion are on the back of the sculpture.  There is an additional Chilmark seal on the bottom of the figurine with the name Trooper on the Southern Plains, Inspired by Frederic Remington, © 1991 Chilmark, Fine Pewter U.S.A. The figurine was handcast and handcrafted in the U.S.A. by Chilmark.
