Absolutely NO cracks or repairs to the Bakelite case. This radio was obviously used as a bedside clock radio for quite some time, as evidenced by the worn lower left quadrant of the clock dial trim. The station dial also exihibits a bit of wear as well, but certainly nothing unexpected for a 57-year-old vintage item. The paint on the case is in remarkably fine condition, with only very minor signs of use and a small "thin spot" as shown in the closeup. This radio was photographed under normal incandescent lighting so you get a true idea of its beauty. Fully restored and ready for your daily use, with these notable features: Original line cord in safe, servicable condition with new reproduction plug Working, fully functional Telechron clock with alarm, sleep timer and appliance timer. Sleep timer knob appears to be an excellent replica - see supersized photos. Functional phono jack and switch Every tube and electronic component of this unit was evaluated, tested and replaced as needed, including ALL paper/wax capacitors. The original multi-section electrolytic capacitor was rebuilt with modern electrolytics to prevent hum. Moving parts were cleaned and lubricated. Electronically aligned to specs. Reception, sensitivity and sound quality are outstanding across entire AM band. Original back is present and in excellent condition, with original loop antenna.
