*Please read full description before placing your bid* Offered for your consideration is an Art Deco Alabaster and Brown Emerson Aristocrat # 400 Catalin Bakelite Tube Radio made circa 1940 and design by Norman Bel Geddes.  Pristine condition having no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, scratches ,repairs, or tube burns.  This Emerson Aristocrat has been professionally hand polished to display the way it looked when it was sold new around the time of World War II .   Stunning marbleized Alabaster on the cabinet with original brown bakelite handle, knobs, and tenite grille.   The grill is a vintage factory original made Emerson grill from another model.  It is not a reproduction.   This model was issued to commemorate the twenty fifth anniversary of the Emerson Radio and Phonograph Company.   All parts are factory original,  the chassis is electronically restored and playing well all across the dial.  If you are looking for a handsome and affordable addition to your collection,  please consider this beauty or one of over 50 other mid-century mirrored, bakelite, and other choice condition catalin radios.  I recently bought a collection and will be listing over 250 radios and art deco clocks over the next few months, so please bookmark my Ebay store.    Please email me with any questions. This will help you fully understand the item you are bidding on.   MAKE - Emerson   MODEL- 400, "Aristocrat"   YEAR- 1940   CASE MATERIAL- Catalin, the Gem of Plastics   SIZE- 10 7/8 ” W x  7 1/4 ” H x5 3/8 ” D   CONDITION- This radio is in excellent condition having no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, deep scratches, repairs,  or tube burns now or in the past.  The knobs, grille, and handle are factory original made and in excellent condition.  The grill is from another vintage Emerson radio, it is not a reproduction.  The dial lens is factory original and the water slide decal is a perfect replacement.  The cabinet has been hand polished with a little Novus #2 after having 60 years of oxidation removed to display the stunning marbled effect of the catalin cabinet.  Email me if  you have any questions before bidding.   CHASSIS/PLAYING CONDITION-The chassis is clean, complete, and I was able to pick up 3-4 stations that were clear.  As a reminder, these vintage catalin radios are not recommended for everyday use, nor should they be played for extended periods of time as that could cause tube burns to the cabinet.   BID WITH CONFIDENCE AS ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE AS DESCRIBED.
