Its flawless case slides down over 6 AM circuits with 5 tubes in a super heterodyne chassis including an advanced 6.5" speaker with an electronic magnetic moving coil w/ field excitation. The description claims it works on AC and DC. It had remarkable sensitivity and sound in both broadcast and shortwave modes before I displayed it up on a shelf for over a decade. I’ve just run up its voltage over several days and all the tubes except one light up; sad to say, it is not now working. In any instance you would be buying the most attractive Emerson model I own and I still have some very expensive ones. I hate to give it away and so I’ve listed it with a reasonable starting price, less then I paid for it. I take care of packing and I do it very well.
