Description
Ca. 1921 Westinghouse DA detector amplifier in excellent, original, working condition. Original wiring throughout, original Westinghouse transformers too. Bakelite panel is free of cracks, gouges, scratches or other damage. Cabinet has marks on all sides, but is in fine original condition overall, with its original finish still intact. This DA has been tested with an RA, and both audio stages work. First stage should be loud enough for most applications; the second stage isn't just loud, it's blaring. Quite a beefy amp. Note that the rubber tube strip shocks are gone, as is the case with most DA's. The strip is secured to the struts with black tape that's nearly invisible and presents no cosmetic distraction. If you're interested in bringing your RC or RA/DA to life with a really nice working DA, here's your chance. You can buy this one, sell your dud, and have a great working 1921 radio to show for the effort. Buyer pays shipping, and insurance is required. Paypal okay.
