Carved from wood, paints over gesso, with glass eyes. The santo stands on its original hexagonal polychromatic base. It has all the details from the period. The beards and the hairlines very intricate. The facial features very realistic. He must have holding some stuff, a lamp or maybe a medicine bottle but missing in this tableau. Very cool patina and paint cracks from old age. A very nice and hard to find item of this size and quality. An excellent addition to any collection. Some broken fingers. Everything is original and free from any restoration. Over 150 years old. Overall height is 31.8 inches. Not including the base, San Roque is 26.7 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. The dog is 6 inches tall. The base is 16 inches long ang 12 inches wide. Weighs about 13 lbs.
