Carved from wood, applied gesso and painted, with two stunning glass eyes.  Mounted on a new wooden base. Take note of His tunic, very finely and intricately done, the folds of the mantle very detailed and dramatic. The facial features, very fine and skillfully done. The nose, the eyes, the lips, the beards, the forehead, the wrinkles, the cheekbones, every facial details is perfectly done. Very expressive and realistic. If you look at his eyes he seems to be alive and looking at you. The teeth inside are partially shown. Both hands are replacements. Other than that original, no restoration. Don't miss this treasure. Very well preserved with all the colors intact. Probably about 70-80 years old. 32.3 inches tall including the base, 12.6 inches wide, and 8.6 inches deep. Weighs about 20 lbs.
