This will help you fully understand the item you are bidding on.   MAKE - Fada   MODEL- #1000, "Insert Grill"   YEAR- 1945   CASE MATERIAL- Catalin, the Gem of Plastics   SIZE- 10 1/2” W x  6” H x 5 3/8” D   CONDITION- This radio is in excellent condition containing no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, repairs, or tube burns, now or in the past. The insert grille, handle, knobs and dial bezel are factory original marbleized red catalin.  The radio retains its factory original cardboard back.  The cabinet has only been hand refinished to its original alabaster color displaying the true marbleization expertly.  This was done completely by hand with no machine sanding.  No tube burn!!!  Very rare not to see some evidence of a heat mark on this model, revealing that this radio was played very little, if at all.    No cosmetic restoration/repair was necessary.   CHASSIS/PLAYING CONDITION-The chassis is clean, complete, and I was able to pick up 3-4 stations that were clear.
