I bought it years ago from Ebay and since it works fine. The dial turns smoothly and makes external calls,  it receives and talks but it does not ring on incoming calls. I was told this phone originally came without an internal ringger.The handset contains the transmitter and receiver (it talks and listens). The cloth cords for the second party receiver and handset are in very nice condition. The phone is ready to be plugged on and use immediately. On the base of the phone body it states: Thomson Huston Constructeur Paris No. 46771 and on the handset is stated Thomson Huston Bte S.G.D.G.No. H 15991 I am a collector and not a phone expert, I have described the phone to my best capability.
