Strike the bowl on the outside part near to the rim of the Singing Bowl either with a striker or the heel of your right hand. 3. Get close to the Singing bowl and you will hear one beautiful musical tone. On striking the bowl it starts vibrating and produce the sacred sound of "AUM". B. "Rubbing The Bowl Around The Rim 1. You can hold the singing bowl on the palm of your non dominate hand. If it is a smaller bowls, like under six inches, hold the same on your fingertips. 2. Hold the mallet on your dominte hand with all the fingertips pointing downwards and touching the wood. ( Hold it like a pencil ) 3.Now rub the mallet on the outer part of the rim, in a circular motion making sure you keep consistent contact with the bowl. it is also advisable for a gentle tap on the outer rim of the bowl to warm it up before making any circular motion around the outside edge of the rim of the bowl. 4. It is always advisable and to keep note of the following. Apply with an even pressure. To rub the mallet clockwise. Use a full arm movement. Healing vibrations are produced resulting in the sacred sound of " OM" on friction of the mallet against the outer rim of the singing bowl. After Your bowl has begun to sing, face your bowl, and tilting your head slightly, and close enough to kiss it, open and close your mouth as if to say “Wow”.
