This slide was used to advertise before the first movie and during intermission in the old Regent Theatre (closed in 1972) located on the Capricorn Coast near Rockhampton in Central Queensland. THE SLIDE IS AN ORIGINAL - there were no duplicates of this slide in the complete collection from the theatre. ONCE IT IS SOLD THERE ARE NO OTHER COPIES. Slide contains an image of a young woman in a pale green dress operating the STC WINDSOR HI-FI (with a record about to drop). States, "Tune into the world" and "Heavenly TWIN SPEAKERS, Exclusive SYNCHROLIFT DOORS". Attractive slide with a light yellow background with a light blue band below. Has a thin cardboard frame inserted betwwen the slides stating "H.B. GREEN & CO. 130 Queen St., Brisbane - Lantern Slide Makers & Photographers. Whole slide measures about 3¼ inches (8cms) square. The emulsion is on one slide, another slide placed in front to protect it (with a thin carboard frame between) and top & bottom edges taped with black paper tape. The image was projected onto the movie screen from a lantern slide projector. CONDITION:LITTLE WEAR Tiny piece of emulsion missing near "STC" emblem. Slight haziness in the central image with many very fine bubbles caught in the emulsion. Fine scuffing / scratching to the emulsion on the far right edge. Shallow chip on bottom right corner of back slide - mostly covered by binding. Black paper binding tape on top & bottom edges in excellent condition - ALL SECURE. PHOTOS: First 2 photos are taken with back-lighting. The cardboard insert appears black in photo 2 but normal cardboard colour in natural light (photo 3).
