Description
*Please read full description before placing your bid* *Deco General Electric L-622 Tortoise "Jewel Box" Catalin Tube Radio* Offered here is a Tortoise colored General Electric L-622 "Jewel Box" Catalin Bakelite Tube Radio made circa 1941. This lovely radio displays extremely well showing it's beautiful mixed brown heavily translucent swirling. This example is in great condition exhibiting one crack, and no chips, nicks, dings, repairs, tube burns, or major scratches. The hairline is a common one on the rear lid caused by the shrinkage of the catalin around the screw that holds the hinged lid in place. This example retains its factory original butterscotch catalin knobs, metal escutcheons, and grill cloth. Be sure to check out all pictures of this example as I am sure that you will agree it is spectacular. I have hand polished this example to a wonderful gleam.
