*Please read full description before placing your bid*  *Distinctive Emerson AU-190 Marbleized Alabaster Cathedral Catalin Tube Radio* Offered here is a Deco Emerson AU-190 "Tombstone" or "Cathedral" Marbleized Alabaster Catalin Bakelite Tube Radio made circa 1937 in New York, New York.  If you have been looking for a superb, pristine vacuum tube radio in the catalin genre, consider this stunning example!   This radio is in great condition containing no cracks, chips, nicks,  dings, tube burns, repairs, or scratches now or in the past.   This example retains its original catalin knobs,  and  the cardboard back is a perfect replacement.  The herringbone style grill cloth is a vintage replacement from a New Old Stock bolt of fabric I was able to obtain from a long closed radio repair shop in the UP.   Be sure to check out all pictures of this example as I am sure that you will agree it is spectacular.   I have hand polished this example to a wonderful gleam that displays the true marbleization of catalin expertly.  No 70+ years of oxidation!   I am listing nearly 100 old radios over the next few months, so be sure to bookmark my auctions.  Dozens of art deco clocks, including Neon-Glo, Lackner, & Manning Bowman!  Radios I will be listing included several Walter Dorwin Teague designed cobalt blue mirrored examples by Sparton.   If you are looking for a unique gift that is also a great collectible, consider this beautiful vintage vacuum tube radio!  Please read  full condition report below. Radio retains its factory original catalin knobs. The grille cloth is a NOS vintage replacement and  the cardboard back is a replacement in addition to the clear dial lense and water slide decal above the grill opening.  While it doesn't show in the pics, I have installed the fourth factory original felt foot on the bottom so the radio sits level with no tilting.   I have hand polished this beauty so display its depth and luster, with no machine sanding!  The radio is very clean inside and out, this radio is sure to please you!  Email with any questions on this beauty.  No cosmetic repairs/restoration was necessary on this gorgeous example of a bygone era.   CHASSIS/PLAYING CONDITION-The chassis is clean and complete and I was able to pick up 3-4 stations clearly.
