Absolutely wonderful set of two Gorham (Circa. 1863-1890's) sterling silver salt cellars with spoons. These pieces measure approx. 3.25" handle to handle and just under 1.75" w x 1.5" tall. They are in very good condition with the Gorham hallmark/sterling mark and pattern number. The typical sterling silver salt cellar first appeared in the early seventeen hundreds, answering to the dining needs of the growing middle class and the "boat" shape was a popular design.
