I bought it at an estate sale.I have kept it on a shelf in my study ever since. It is showing signs of age in the lid which houses the turn table, there are some minor age cracks and it also has a little warping. I really have no idea about its authenticity other than it is indisputably old! The motor has an imprint of the following "Thorens fabrication Suisse" and it has number 533 engaved below the identification stamp. There is an emblem of a cross with three hands in it. I have not polished the horn in any way so as not to damage the patina. It does not come with a  good needle I am afraid the one in there is worn out.I cannot verify much more. I am offering this item for a price that even if it is an old fake is still a good deal. I works still but there is a slight noise when the turn table touches the brake arm. I didnt want to mess with it as I know nothing about these machines other than it looks magnificent in a place of importance in the home. All sales final, no warranties of authenticity available due to lack of knowledge by the seller. All sales outside the USA are subject to freight calculation and buyer will be notified prior to making payment.
