Description 1957 Hoffman Trans Solar radio model KP 706 works perfectly and looks five weeks old, not the fifty one years it is. There are no cracks, dents, chips, hairlines, scuffs or FDIC. The only visible flaw is a scratch on the bottom of the radio. It was desigined for a mecury type battery which are no longer made, however there is now a lithium available at Batteries Plus or Radio Shack that will fit. I will include a new one with the radio so it will play right out of the box. Of course you can always power it in a window or outside, but do not use an incandesent type bulb for more than a minute or so to avoid warping the solar panel. This one is perfect. Comes with swivel stand/handle. The radio is approx. 6.5X3.5X2 inches. I had a hard time photographing the back and the chrome front, there are NO WARPS in the plastic or chrome, they are reflections. It also looks like there is a white spot on the speaker grille, it is not there. INSURANCE IS OPTIONAL AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
