Description
Victrola 1-2. Victor talking machine. Hand crank victrola made in 1925?? This model does not have a horn. Tag under turntable says ALADDIN 13794. Original white paint removed and oak woodwork refinished about 20 years ago. Has been stored in the attic. The hand crank and spring, governor (speed control) and the brake works. There is minor surface rust on exposed metal. I haven’t seen a model like this. Most have doors on the front, which are used for storage. This one doesn’t. Just the grillwork for the sound chamber. The unit has a mount for needles in a small metal box (3 needles in a box included). The finish could use fine sanding and a coat of wax or poly, or just use as is. It is a nice looking unit. Included are 11 "Little Wonder" Records, there is a song on one side only. On the other side is: "Made under one or more of the following U.S. Patent: Dec.10, 1901 - Nov.25, 1902 - Jan.2, 1906 - Feb.11, 1908 - Aug.11, 1908 - Nov.30, 1909. The Songs are: MY MOTHERS ROSARY, SWEET BIRDIE POLKA, SHENANDOAH, WRAP ME IN A BUNDLE, WHEN THE CORN IS WAVING, THE FLOWER GARDEN BALL, THE PALMS, THE OLD OAKEN BUCKET, MY HIDDEN PLEASURE, THAT’S THE SONG OF SONG’S, SOOTHING SYMPHONY The Records measure 5.5"across. Also are 3 Emerson records, THE LITTLE GREY MOTHER, SUNSHINE OF YOUR SMILE, LA CZARINA (Mazurka Russe). Slightly larger in size. All the records are warped and have some scratches. The two that I did play on the victrola seemed to play ok. If they are stored flat, they should straighten out. Send me your email address and I will send you more pictures and video. Shipping to lower 48 states only. Weight will be around twenty lbs.
