The piece has an engraved/embossed markings of what appears to be either a  large tree of life or sheath of wheat type symbol,  three engraved letters, S, A & H and a London backstamp, as pictured in the photos. And from the research that I have done in  Pewter in America by Laughlin, this seems to suggest that the plate was made in the late18th to early 19th century, by one Edward Toms in London. It measures 8.5" in diameter and it is in relatively good condition, with some dents and dings, considering it's age and the metal's inherent softness..
