Description
In 1989, the Franklin Mint offered a collectable series of sculptures entitled The Treasures of Tutankhamen. This collection, which is no longer available, consisted of recreations of twelve of the most important artifacts discovered in the tomb of King Tut. The items chosen for inclusion into the collection were chosen by a panel of four expert Egyptologists. The Treasures of Tutankhamen is an impressive collection that is a fitting tribute to Egyptian history. Each of the sculptures is crafted of fine porcelain hand-painted with gold and embellished with jewel-toned accents. The total collection consists of twelve sculptures, a mirrored display case and certificate of authenticity. Also included is reference material describing the significance of each original artifact. This collection and documentation is in mint condition. The original cost of the collection was about $900. This is an amazing opportunity to own a limited-edition collection that honors one of the greatest archeological finds in the history of the world. Note: Due to limitation on number of pictures allowed, one figurine, Mirror Case, is not presented individually. It can be seen in the display case photo on the bottom row at far right.
