Description
L@@k!!! Antique Thomas Edison Reproducer Phonograph Complete w/ Hand Painted Speaker Horn To ensure an honest description as I do with all the items I auction, you will find this great item in excellent, collectible condition. The gramophone is a hand painted gem. Rarely is this complete set found, let alone in such pristine condition. The horn has one edge that needs to be soldered or welded back together. The unit has not been cleaned for vintage and posterity sake. In the near future I will be offering the cylindrical records that are played on this beauty, also manufactured and signed by Thomas Edison! This item has belonged to only one family and has been stored and cared for properly, for MANY YEARS! The item is quite heavy and the horn is a bit cumbersome so the shipping will be a bit high. I will be shipping in 2 shipments. The overpayment on shipping will be refunded immediately upon shipping, and the amount paid for postage will be visible on the packages, for your reference. This item comes from a smoke-free clean environment. Paypal preferred. Money Orders and Cashiers Checks accepted. Payment must be made within 3 days of auction close. I usually ship the day following a cleared payment however I do not ship on Saturday or Sunday. I also have a wonderful array of Austrian crystal jewelry; necklace sets, high-end name brand clothing, Mica mineral makeup, Fine Art, vintage / antiquarian collectible items & great prices- my items are buy it now or BEST OFFER!!! Thank you and good luck! Please know that I do not clean any of the antique items I offer thus tarnish, etc is normal, aiding as to the item's vintage. On Dec-03-08 at 21:42:38 PST, seller added the following information:GREAT Bonus News... Thank you to a kind eBayer's expertise who just advised me of the following: Yes, you have a 4 minute Model H reproducer in your machine. Be sure to add that to the description so bidders will know the machine plays 4 minute records. Now, you may also have the Model C which is often stored in the cabinet compartment below the topworks. You can look at the motor by taking the crank out then putting your hands on the left and right side of the oak topworks board and gently lifting with the thumbs. Thanks for the photo of the Model H. Your Edison is in great shape for an 'as found' machine and will require very little to make it shine again. I will update you all once I find out how to take the crank out and check for yet another added treasure!
