Description
I will be listing several items from my personal collection, representing some of the highest quality, hard to find phonograph items that have become available in quite a while. 5098 Lenore My Own Lenore - Band  - A wonderful Band piece! This is a wonderful extremely early, Lambert Phonograph Concert Record. On March 5, 1900 Thomas Lambert formed a company in Chicago to manufacture molded celluloid (a primitive plastic) cylinder records. These were the first molded records offered to the public. The Lambert cylinders were molded in various colors and had no core.  Included in his offering were records in the concert size format. They were and still are far superior to the brown wax Concert records offered by Edison and Columbia.  They were unbreakable, and offered superior sound quality that did not degrade after playing. These are some of the most highly sought after cylinder records available today! This one is no exception.  LENORE MY OWN LENORE had Words by James O'dea Music by ALFRED SOLMAN.  This is a super nice band piece and well worth a listen. While the music is great the condition of this cylinder is outstanding.  It can nearly be called Mint.  The surface of the record is wonderful and shiny, without issue.  If you are looking for a very fine example of a rare record, look no further. The winning bidder is responsible for actual shipping and insurance costs.  I will cover the cost for excellent packing. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.  Thank you so much and happy bidding!!
