Description
Model 921 A, this is a lime green accent phone by Western Electric made in December, 1973. It was used by the product placement division of the Bell System. This was a demonstration model made in a rare color. The modular phone was not common 1973! This demonstration model in lime green has a letter D on the bottom of it, which indicates that it is a demonstration model. This was used by a division of the bell system in Hollywood California to give the public a glimpse of forthcoming telephones. The Hollywood fictitious telephone number on the dial is typically found on product placement telephones. You will note that in movies, the actors always give out 555 numbers as that exchange does not exist. We believe this to be the only lime green phone ever produced by Western Electric in the accent model as by the time production started, the psychedelic craze was over. Please ask any questions before bidding and I will answer to the best of my ability. Good luck and happy bidding!
