Marconi valve or bulb Start Price GBP 1.00 Current Price GBP 1.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, November 30, 2008 End Time Sunday, December 07, 2008 Location Boston See more about 'Marconi valve or bulb' Description Clearing out a warehouse I discovered this.  It looks like a valve but I have no idea of the age of it or what it has come from.  I believe it may be a radio valve.  It measures approx 11cm x 4cm(4 1/2" x 1 1/2") and has The Marconiphone Co Ltd on a sticker on the glass with BVA printed underneath this.  Printed on the actual glass is an oval stamp saying "Made and Patented in England"  and seems to have 34 H and KTW 63 within this.  It has seven pins at the base (with a gap for an eighth that was obviously never there). It is packaged in a purpose made cardboard box, with corrugated cardboard sleeve.  The exterior box has a Marconi stamp on it and a price of 10'6 (10 shillings and sixpence!)  Guess that dates it pre 1970 anyway.
