Description
Note: During the first 24 hours or so of this auction there may be only one picture, but there will be a many more from the web-hosting service shortly after! Offered at No Reserve:This is a circa 1966-1970 Muntz FM 8 track cartridge for your 8-track deck, but will play perfectly in ANY 8 track deck, delivering beautiful crystal clear FM sound. It's a great way to get an authentic-period unit delivering FM sound in your 60s car, without having to either get modern components or pay a ransom for the OEM factory AM-FM units (my '65 GTO AM-FM is worth $700, will put up this fall.) When it comes to vintage 60s car audio, I've owned almost everything at one time or another, but sold all my car record players this summer, and I've always thought this little unit was always one of the best items in terms of design and utility. Perfect item for the right buyer. See my other auctions for a Muntz 4/8 Track player this will fit nicely into, which closes 15 minutes earlier if you wish to bid on both. Also have a rare NOS 4-track car deck and 4-track-type FM cartridge for that as well going up tonight.Technically the unit being sold as-is, as I never installed this one, never used it, kept fresh in the box, and my 8-track is no longer hooked up to test. But I had another identical used unit, it played in both my car and on my home system with the big speakers, and the quality of the FM reception was just as good as what I got through my Kenwood tuner--nice! Unit is solid-state, should have no trouble delivering for you. I paid about $65 for this in a competitive EBay auction about 5 years ago, when more of these were floating around from old inventories, but I can no longer afford the hobby. Selling at No Reserve, so you may have a bargain! They come up occasionally on Ebay, but when I bought this, it was only time I ever saw it NOS.Please see all the detailed pictures of the deck to follow, which tell the story very clearly. It is perfect NOS cosmetic condition, zero shelf-wear, mint. I go to such lengths with the photography because I try to make it like you can judge the item just as well --or better--as if seeing it in person, this is very rare with more modestly priced items like this-- so if you are looking for this piece, this is a good opportunity! If you have no feedback or negative feedback for non-payment, please contact me first or bids may need to be cancelled. This is in the interest of all involved, buyers and seller alike, so please only bid if you understand you must pay for item. That said, I'm very happy to do business with new EBayer's! Just contact me first and indicate you will abide by the purchase if you win, thank you! I ship with full insurance included, this is a No-Reserve auction, the real-deal, I've been doing this for years on Ebay with no customers ever dissatisfied with their item, so bid with confidence and enjoy! Email me with any questions. --JeffOn Aug-18-08 at 19:07:06 PDT, seller added the following information:More than just a pretty picture. Try Vendio Image Hosting.
