The lot is dated December 1965.   As there is no individual box, in case that you order more than one piece, I will pack them very carefully to avoid the tubes damaging each other; I am obsessive in that matter… and ever had a customer receiving a tube spoiled during the trip.     For Additional Photos please keep scrolling down!   In the EM87 the quiescent condition shows two bluish-green vertically opposed bars, as shown on gallery picture. Each bar shines at each end the phosphor coated vertical spot, coated with phosphor in the inner sidewall of the bulb, just at the front of “Target Anode”.  As the signal strength on grid increases, the bars elongate to just barely touching on peak bias signal condition. Eventually, they may overlap creating a brighter bluish-green region in the middle of the coated spot.   The EM87 (at least this Siemens version) has a special phosphor coating which shines in a VERY BEAUTIFUL bluish colour, rather than the more usual greenish “Magic Eye” colour. The photo below is totally faithful in showing the Siemens EM87 bluish tint.     The EM87 was used in McIntosh MX110 and Scott 350 series receivers, among other splendid pieces of audio and radio from the last century.       This Siemens version seems to be assembled with timepieces precision!!       You are purchasing one or more tubes of this lot   As I said before, these Siemens EM87’s came to me in a 200pcs bulk box.
