Description
You are bidding on a massive collection of radio programs from the golden age of radio. This collection is massive, over 270gb of programs in MP3 format, over  750 different shows, all stored on one external USB 2.0  hard drive. There are thousands of episodes, and tens of thousands of hours of listening pleasure. You can listen to these programs on your computer, or, using a CD-R/RW drive, you can make audio CDs or MP3 CDs. It is also possible to load them on your Apple iPod using the free iTunes software. The programs sound quite good, as I have several shows loaded on mine.  Some of the shows that are on this disc are: Fibber McGee & Molly (over 750 episodes) The Great Glidersleeve (over 500 episodes) Amos & Andy Boston Blackie Broadway is My Beat It Pays to be Ignorant The Haunting Hour Dr. Kildare Dr. Six-Gun Duffy's Tavern Barry Craig, Confidential Investigator Bogart Presents Bold Venture Bubbles in the Air Bunco Squad Cabin B13 Authors Playhouse Cloak & Dagger Crime Club Danger, Dr. Danfield Hall of Fantasy Judy Canova Show Jungle Jim I Cover the Waterfront I Fly Anything Mr. President Philo Vance Proudly We Hail Prowl Car Radio City Playhouse Nick Carter Master Detective Moon Over Africa The Bickersons The Man Called X The Saint The Big Show The Green Hornet The Hardy Family Vic & Sade Tom Mix Flash Gordon Hall of Fantasy Lux Radio Theatre Mr. District Attorney Quiet Please Strange Dr. Wierd Your's Truly, Johnny Dollar Zorro Al Jolson Blackstone the Magician Bob Hope Box 13 The Whistler Phil Harris & Alice Faye Big Band Remotes (Goodman, Miller, more) Little Orphan Annie Tailspin Tommy I Love A Mystery and the list goes on and on and on....  There is special historical radio broadcast section, with historical broadcasts since radio was invented; from Lindbergh's crossing the Atlantic to Europe for World War II. The list is so long that I have not found a program that is capable of letting me copy all the information to a file so I can post it.  **NOTE: High bidder is respsonsible to insure that their computer system will support USB 2.0 devices. No returns accepted for equipment incompatibility. There is no operating system on this drive, only the radio programs. This item was reinstated on April 20th, 2006 after a Counter Notice was filed with person or persons claiming to have a copyright for this item. They did not respond to the Counter Notice filing, which allowed this item to be reinstated. At this time, they have no legal claim to halt this auction.   Copyright-Only Dedication (based on United States law) or Public Domain Certification The person or persons who have associated work with this document (the "Dedicator" or "Certifier") hereby either (a) certifies that, to the best of his knowledge, the work of authorship identified is in the public domain of the country from which the work is published, or (b) hereby dedicates whatever copyright the dedicators holds in the work of authorship identified below (the "Work") to the public domain. A certifier, morever, dedicates any copyright interest he may have in the associated work, and for these purposes, is described as a "dedicator" below. A certifier has taken reasonable steps to verify the copyright status of this work. Certifier recognizes that his good faith efforts may not shield him from liability if in fact the work certified is not in the public domain. A dedicator makes this dedication for the benefit of the public at large and to the detriment of the Dedicator's heirs and successors. Dedicators intend this dedication to be an overt act of relinquishment in perpetuity of all present and future rights under copyright law, whether vested or contingent, in the Work. Dedicator understand that such relinquishment of all rights includes the relinquishment of all rights to enforce (by lawsuit or otherwise) those copyrights in the Work. Dedicator recognizes that, once placed in the public domain, the Work may be freely reproduced, distributed, transmitted, used, modified, built upon, or otherwise exploited by anyone for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, and in any way, including by methods that have not yet been invented or conceived. After a careful search of the Library of Congress and the United States Trademark and Patent Office, it has been determined that the programs listed for sale here are in the Public Domain. They are being offered with the understanding that no valid or active copyright, trademark, and/or patent exsist for them. These recordings are sold for private home listening and use only. No broadcast rights are stated, implied, or given. I assume no responsibility for unauthorized use of these programs. They are listed in accordance with current Ebay policies concerning selling Public Domain materials.   High bidder prepays via PayPal, other electronic payments/online escrow/credit cards or CODs not accepted. NO SALES TAX IN OREGON!!!
