Description
We’re back and we have some of the best antique radios we’ve ever had to offer! We took a year off to expand our radio facilities and replenish our stock of restored antique radios in an effort to offer our valued customers some of the best antique radios available. Be sure to check out our 10 day auctions starting Sunday and Thursday nights for new Quality Antique Radio listings! Here We Have a Spectacular Example of One of the First Table Radios Philco Ever Produced. A 1933 Philco 57C Mantle Radio. Cabinet: The solid wood cabinet is in remarkable condition! Virtually flawless. The extreme wood grain is complimented perfectly by a gorgeous ‘sunburst effect’ toning. High quality craftsmanship, superb wood work and design, elegant trim, and many Art Deco cut outs make for a truly elegant and classy look. A very early piece of American History that is sure to be the highlight of any room in the home or office. Please email me to see photos with Zoom Views. Be sure to view my other Radio Auctions! The Cabinet’s Finish: All of our radio cabinets undergo a vigorous restoration process using a minimum 12 coats of Mohawk brand lacquers and toners. A 1000, 2000, & 4000 grit wet sanding follows every third coat. The process is finished off with a three step polishing process with a final Oz glaze rub. Many hours of work are put into these cabinets but as you can see, the final outcome is a beautiful cabinet with a silk smooth finish and gorgeous luster & shine. Our radios are a great piece of history that come to you ready to proudly display, as well as listen to, in any room of the house or office. Knobs/Dial Plate: The bakelite knobs have been polished and are in excellent condition. They are secure, turn smooth and work as they should. The brass tuning plate behind the dial knob is in good condition. It too has been polished and shows some minor wear. The station frequencies are all legible except for some slight blurring on the far right. Nothing at all that detracts from the beauty of set. Electronics/Chassis: The 4 tube chassis is in great shape. It has been restored and thoroughly cleaned as with all of our radios. Give the set a minute to warm up, and when it does, it plays very well with good volume, nice tone, and no hum. The back metal panel is intact and in good shape. I will include a 30 day warranty on the tubes caps and filters. Dimensions: 11 ½“W x 9“H x 5 ¾“D. Approximate Shipping cost: $30 East Coast, $35 Central, $40 West Coast.  I sell quality antique radios and describe them accurately. Please check my feedback. 100% positive, all on Antique Radio Sales. I make sure they are ready for your displaying and listening pleasure. Over the past 15 years we have sold many sets to our valued customers, museums, high profile businesses, and as TV/Movie props. All have been extremely pleased, so bid with confidence. I have many years experience in packing and shipping these radios. I box using new oversized boxes, new bubble wrap, and new shipping peanuts so you can be assured they arrive safely. Winning bidder pays shipping and handling charges. I ship to the Continental US only but may make certain exceptions. If you are not in the Continental US and want to bid on my radio please email me first. If you do not email me first I will retract your bid. I accept Pay Pal, Checks, or Money orders. Checks must clear (7 business days) before shipment. If you have any questions please email me. I will answer all questions in a timely manner. Radio reception can differ greatly depending on location and amount of interference in different areas.
