Near Milwaukee See more about 'Old Sterling Silver Jesus Holy Family Sculpture on Wood' Description Old Sterling Silver Jesus Holy Family Sculpture on Wood   This is a wonderful Religious wall plaque that had come out of an estate sale.  It shows the Holy Family with the Christ Child. It is signed on the back with a silver tag and appears to have been made in a Mexican Monastery.   The hand formed art work is made of sterling silver. The halo's may be gold but I am going to assume they are brass. On the back of the item it has a stamped silver tag with the following information on it and it is hard to read but I think it says: 925, Monastico, Mexico and a word that looks like Aileres — but I am not sure of this. It also has another stamp that looks like a shield with 45.   It has a great looking painted solid wood back that measures about 10-1/2" by 8" by 1" thick. It is just the way that I got it and shows some normal expected wear for the age and it is sold as found and as shown and as is so please just ask before you bid.      We prefer Paypal or money orders or please allow ten days for a personal check to clear.  We ship a lot of items overseas and they are normally paid with Paypal.  Buyer to pay shipping & handling and insurance cost (insurance price is based on the final bid). Insurance is optional on lower cost items and required for high cost and breakable items. I try to take good pictures and do the best that I can to describe my items with my limited knowledge. I have found and sold items from the 15th century up through the high tech items of today and with billions of items out there I have to admit that I am not an expert on any of them. I simply go out and find it and pass it along to the folks that collect it. I would love to have a book on each of the items that I have sold over the years but if I did, my library would now contain many thousands of volumes and I could not read them if I lived twenty lifetimes. I simply try to list items so that the right people can find them and I leave the rest up to them. Part of the fun of passing on some of the really odd items is that over the years I have had a number of buyers get back in touch with me and let me know that my items were being featured in their books and a few of them have been the only items know to exist. Nobody in that field had ever seen my item before and my item was not to be found in any book until I sold it to the author. ------ If you see a very nice item in my listing and do not see any words like perfect or mint condition, please understand that it has nothing to do with the quality of the item that is listed. Many items qualify for the use of those terms but, we have found that there are a few buyers who believe that there has never been an item made that will qualify for their definition of perfect.
