I think this is Silver plated, as it polishes up just like Silver. I must admit I know nothing about this it was in a collection of items at an auction years ago.It's with it's original box which is fine grained dark Reddish leather ? The makers initials are as stamped on the hinge of the folding handle and are G.G.
