The "Grabaphone" was modeled on the French style telephones of the time and was given its unique name as it was easy to just "grab the handset" and start talking! The handset has KELLOGG USA engraved on the mouthpiece Behind the ear piece is engraved KELLOGG S & S.CO CHICAGO USA Also has the original felt ring around the base which were fitted by Kellogg We have added a dial to this allowing you to make outgoing calls This does not receive incoming calls as it has no bell fitted. Would be ideal as an extension phone This still has its original plaited handset cord although there are some signs of wear due to its very old age! Still has all its original components as shown in the attached pic Overall this telephone is in good condition for its age.
