Damages:  Does have some dings and dents but they are mostly lost to look at in the pattern work. The bird on top has been broken off at some point but it has been stuck back on I would say a while ago with old glue, please see photo below. Although it has the above mentioned damages it is still an attractive piece and has it's own charm. Sorry I have no idea of it's age.
