I'm so proud of this nativity scene. With an up light (not included) on it at night, you just can't beat it. It's gorgeous, it's simple, it's calm. It's what Christmas is about. This is not made of painted plywood which would only last one or two years in the snow  (my sisters original was made out of plywood and it's trashed).  This is made of an expanded PVC.  It's the same stuff they make pipes with, impregnated with air and resins and then cold rolled flat.  Lots of companies make this stuff, but the one I'm using is marine grade.  It's more expensive, but it's meant to be outdoors.  I'm confident it will last.  Hopefully long enough to become an heirloom.  And it's naturally white so it will never have to be painted.  It's got a nice matte finish to it.  It looks like professionally painted wood.  And it is strong stuff. There is a little assembly required, but the cool thing about that is, the nativity is big when assembled but you can take it apart and put the pieces back in the much smaller box that it was shipped in and store it for the next year Size:  When assembled, this is 5'- 7" wide x 5' - 0" tall It comes in box that's about 3' x 4' x 2" box which can also be used for storage between holidays. I need 4 - 6 weeks to deliver. (This nativity is heavy enough and large enough that the shipping charges are very fair.  I'm not trying to make any money on shipping and for anything east of the Mississippi, I will probably lose some.)
