Description
The Par-o-Ket record was a product of the Paroquette Record Manufacturing Company which was founded in 1916 by famous banjo player Fred Van Epps and tenor Henry Burr. They were only in business for about a year so their records are somewhat rare in collections. The records had an etched label and were 7 inches in diameter and vertical cut. This record, Par-O-Ket number 32 features the husband-wife team of Helen Louise and Frank Ferera performing two of their famous Hawaiian selections. Frank Ferera performed steel guitar and slide guitar selections on record labels around the world and was considered as one of the premier performers in the early 1900's. Side A features "Moanalua Maunawili Meleana" (Hawaiian Medley) and Side B is "Waiu Luliluli" (Hawaiian March) . Both sides are in excellant condition and play well. It was recommended by Paroquette Record Manufacturing Company that these records be played with a sapphire stylus. Priority shipping with delivery confirmation within the US will be $5.45. Media mail will be less expensive but I will only do this if you accept the risk of breakage. International buyers please ask. If you are the high bidder and are not completely satisfied with this, I will refund your cost including shipping within the US.
