I'm selling this ornate silverplate server/tea set for my fathers's fiance'. This was given to her husband after 33 years of service with the PIPER AIRCRAFT, CO., LOCK HAVEN, PA, (when in 1984 he "retired" from PIPER - that was the year the plant closed in Lock Haven). It is in very good condition! NONE of the pieces have any dents, and only have minor lines/marks, mostly from polishing the pieces. The set has nice detail, even the inside of the legs/feet has detail. The serving tray is the only piece that has the PIPER logo. There is also a logo on the larger (coffee) pot, which I can't identify, so see photo for close-up. Here is a description of each piece:  Creamer measures 3.5" high and weighs slightly less than 1/2 pound. Is stamped "ALVIN E. P. K56" on the bottom. Sugar bowl with lid. 5" high and weighs over 1/2 pound. Is stamped "NEWPORT GORHAM SILVERPLATE YB1056" on the bottom. Teapot is 9 1/4" high with a hinged lid. Weighs 2.25 pounds. Is stamped "NEWPORT GORHAM SILVERPLATE YB1056 " on the bottom. Coffee pot is 10.75" high with hinged lid. Weighs 2.25" pounds. Is stamped "NEWPORT GORHAM SILVERPLATE YB1056" on the bottom. Has unidentifiable logo. Serving tray is 25.25" long (includes handles), by 15.5" deep. The tray weighs almost 6 pounds! Is stamped "NEWPORT GORHAM SILVERPLATE YB505" on the back. Has the PIPER logo. Combined weight BEFORE packing is approx 12 pounds. Shipping weight is based on 16 pounds.
