Description
VICTOR I PHONOGRAPH This auction is for a very nice early VICTOR I outside horn phonograph. The case has it's original finish, but it looks like a long time ago someone lacquered over it. Also, one corner has a small chip. Please examine the photos below and let us know if you have any questions. The pinstriping on the backmount is very good, and the crank is original. The original brass rimmed horn has its share of dings but still looks pretty good. We think that one spot on the painted black part was touched up, but it's almost all original paint. If you like your phonographs to be original and unrestored, this is the phonograph for you. The spring wind motor runs well and plays one 10" record when fully wound. Insurance is optional but strongly recommended. The phonograph will be shipped in two well prepared cartons: one for the case, backmount, tonearm and reproducer; and one for the horn. For the purpose of determining the cost of shipping, the dimensions and weight of the cartons are: case carton; 16 pounds. L=18". W=18", H=17"; horn carton; 3 pounds, L=18", W=14", H=13".
