Description
Here is a rare vintage timepiece. This copper colored metal mantel clock is in extremely nice condition and works perfectly. Atop the 1" tall base is a cowboy sitting on a fence rail with his right elbow resting on a fence post and his left arm resting on his left thigh. Wearing his cowboy hat, chaps, shirt, and a bandana, his holstered pistol is on his right hip. To his left, a saddle straddles the fence rail helping to form the beautiful mounting for the round faced "SESSIONS" clock. Also, as part of the mounting is a steer's head and another fence post with a lariat hanging from it. The top of the base is designed to look like the ground with beautiful foliage on it. The detail on this western clock is extraordinary. On the lower back, in raised lettering, it states, "LANE & CO 1950" "LOS ANGELES, CAL" and "711W". This gorgeous clock measures 9 1/2" tall, 10 3/4" long, 2 3/4" deep, and weighs 4 1/2 pounds. There is some slight discoloration, but no dings, cracks, or breaks. The bottom of the base is covered with green felt. Thank you for your interest in this rare "LANE" clock.
