RCA BN-2A. Used from 4 POPES!' Description Up on auction one of the rarest relics of Vatican Radio in the world. This is one of the 15 mixers RCA BN-2A owned from the Vatican Radio from the beginning of the ’60 to the '80, that was used to transmit the Pope’s cerimonies from the St. Peter's cathedral, Basilica di San Pietro. This mean that through this mixer has passed the voice of 4 Popes, Pope Giovanni XXIII- Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli (1958-1963); Pope Paolo VI- Giovanni Battista Montini (1963-1978); Pope Giovanni Paolo I - Albino Luciani (1978) and Pope Giovanni Paolo II- Karol Wojtyla (1978-2005). I owned two of these units, I found them in an antique deal market. As soon I've looked at them, since I was curious about the meaning of that dymo writings on the knobs ("segnal" and "camp"), I phoned to the Vatican Radio Museum, and as soon they realized wich mixers I’ve found, they asked me to have one back to put in their museum. The director told me the meaning of the writings too. The channel wich the writings "SEGNAL" was the channel where passed the sound of the ceremony ( the Pope's voice, the songs of the choir...) and the channel with the writings "CAMP" was the channel where passed the Jingle that announce the start of the cerimony, that was played with bells (in Italian Bell is CAMPANE... abbreviated "CAMP")Then, aware og the hystorical value of the units, I restored both the mixers (you can see the pics of the work on my website http://www.vintagesolutions.org/antiques.htm  ). and I go to Rome to give back to the Vatican Radio Museum the mixer No MX 026 (the one with the number 14 wrote in red on), that I’m waiting to see it on their website.. Since I don't need to keep this museum's piece at my home, I decided to put the mixer on sale, and now you have the chance to own this unique and incredible piece of Cristhianity 's history. The man who sold me the two units, said me that ALL the others mixers has been dismantled for sell parts. I saved just these two... SO I’m the proud owner of the LAST RCA BN-2A Vatican Radio tube mixer in the world. That now can be yours. Beetween the two mixer, this unit was the one in better cosmetic conditions. The mixer and comes with its particular power cord and with the adapter cable for the mic input. It has been restored and it's fully working, anyway, 'cose the age uf the unit, I can't give any warranty for it.
